Description
Join us every Wednesday for Te Mauri o ngā Waiata, exploring the transformative power of kapa haka within Māori traditions. This kaupapa celebrates waiata as a powerful expression of emotion, connection, and identity, fostering relationships, preserving cultural heritage, and strengthening manaakitanga within our community.
Sessions are primarily focused on waiata, with every fourth week dedicated to guitar and ukulele, supporting participants to build simple instrumental skills that enhance and support waiata.
Te Mauri o ngā Waiata empowers practitioners by strengthening community bonds through shared singing and learning. Discover your inner song, grow your confidence and skills, and contribute to the living culture of care within the Tūwharetoa community.
