Description

Te Hapori Ora is proud to present Taiohi Ora, a wānanga series designed specifically for rangatahi to build resilience, develop emotional awareness, and provide a safe space for self-expression. Held over the course of four weeks, the wānanga will run every Friday from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM, starting on 29 November 2024 and concluding on 20 December 2024.

This kaupapa will empower rangatahi by exploring activities and resources that nurture their wellbeing and creativity. The wānanga will include:

  • Rākau Ora: Engaging exercises promoting mindfulness and connection to Te Taiao.
  • Content Creation: Encouraging self-expression and storytelling through modern platforms.
  • Patu: Strength-based activities focused on physical and mental discipline.
  • Poi: Utilizing traditional practices to strengthen cultural identity and coordination.

Each session is designed to foster a supportive environment where rangatahi can learn, share, and navigate their emotions confidently. By providing them with the tools and resources to thrive, Taiohi Ora aims to inspire personal growth and wellbeing for the next generation of leaders.

We look forward to welcoming our rangatahi to this exciting journey of self-discovery and empowerment!
